TrueRedact Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 2026

  • 100% In-Browser
  • Zero Upload
  • Check Network Tab - 0 Requests
  • Works Offline

Proof: Open DevTools > Network > Upload a file > See 0 requests. Your file never leaves your RAM.

1. The Core Guarantee: Zero File Uploads

Unlike conventional PDF conversion and editing platforms, TrueRedact operates on a fundamental Zero-Knowledge, Zero-Upload architecture.

When you select or drag-and-drop a document (such as a PDF file, bank statement, lease contract, or image) into any TrueRedact tool:

  • No file is sent to our servers. We do not operate any document processing backend, API, or cloud storage pipeline.
  • All operations run in local memory (RAM). File bytes are read into an in-memory ArrayBuffer by your web browser's native File and Canvas APIs.
  • Files are immediately cleared on tab close. Nothing is saved to permanent storage, localStorage, or IndexedDB unless explicitly requested for offline caching of application static assets.
  • Your network activity remains zero. You can verify this claim independently at any time by opening your browser's Developer Tools (F12) > Network tab and confirming that zero outbound network requests occur while importing, editing, or exporting your files.

2. No Account or Personal Identification Required

TrueRedact is accessible to everyone without creating an account. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, physical address, employer information, or payment card details.

3. Offline Execution

TrueRedact installs a client-side Service Worker that caches the application's static HTML, CSS, JavaScript bundles, and PDF rendering workers. Once the initial application bundle is loaded, the entire suite of 8 tools is capable of running completely disconnected from the internet.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

TrueRedact does not use tracking cookies, browser fingerprinting, or session recording software (such as Hotjar or FullStory).

If advertisements are displayed in designated container placeholders in accordance with ad network policies, third-party advertising vendors (such as Google AdSense) may use cookies or web beacons to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting AboutAds.info or Google Ads Settings.

5. Third-Party Libraries and External Connections

All PDF parsing, text extraction, font subsetting, and EXIF processing are executed by client-side JavaScript packages (including pdf-lib, pdfjs-dist, and exifr) bundled directly into TrueRedact's static distribution. No document data is ever dispatched to third-party CDNs or machine-learning APIs.

6. Security of Your Documents

Because your documents never leave your physical device or hardware RAM, your file security is bounded solely by the security of your own operating system and web browser environment. We recommend keeping your web browser updated and avoiding running sensitive document operations on unverified public workstations.
